Nerja town hall last week announced that the Junta de Andalucía, which in July awarded the town a grant to cover slightly more than 80% of the €70,000 cost to install awnings in Calles Diputación and El Barrio and the pedestrian stretch of Calle Málaga, has now agreed to up the grant to 100% of the cost. The awnings will be similar to those already installed in Calles Pintada and Cristo.
