A 26-year-old woman has died in a freak accident in a Sevilla hospital. She was being stretchered back to the ward after giving birth by Caesarean section, when her head became trapped in the doors of a lift. The safety device which disables the lift until the doors are properly closed apparently failed and the lift began moving up.
