The Supreme Court has found in favour of the first Spanish national to take Google to court, demanding the internet giant respect the “right to be forgotten.” Mario Costeja claimed Google Spain had failed to delete out-of-date information about him. The Court confirmed that the search engine must observe Spanish data protection legislation, despite being a subsidiary of its US parent company.
