A Castellón man who claimed he had lost a hand in a traffic accident when he made insurance claims has been jailed for three-and-a-half years. The Supreme Court heard last week how he cut off his right hand himself, before claiming compensation from three insurers. He was also ordered to repay a total of €335,000 from those who he defrauded.
