Officials from the Guardia Civil’s environmental arm Seprona and the Junta de Andalucía travelled to the village of Cuevas Bajas last week to investigate the sudden appearance of a number of dead fish, which were found floating in the Los Fernández lake near the Genil river. Mayor Manuel Lara said that the cause of the incident is as of yet unknown.
