The provincial court has annulled a ruling that denied day-release status for jailed former Marbella mayor Julián Muñoz. Initially a penitentiary oversight judge had granted him the day-release status due to serious illness, but on an appeal filed by the public prosecutor the provincial court denied him the status. Now the court has annulled that decision, meaning the appeal will have to be reheard.
