An 87-year-old man died in a flat fire in Torremolinos last week. The blaze, the cause of which has not been specified, started short after 9am on Wednesday at a flat in the Centro Jardín building in Calle de la Cruz. A 77-year-old woman also suffered burns and was taken to Málaga’s Hospital Regional, and a local police officer was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
