A woman who last summer was issued a 500-euro fine for riding her mobility scooter the wrong way down a small one-way street in Benahavís, because the pavement was too narrow, has had her fine reduced to 200 euros on appeal. The provincial collections department found that she had not committed a driving infraction but acted negligently as a pedestrian. If paid on time the fine will be halved to 100 euros.
