Fibre optic connections to the internet are now available to 70 per cent of the population of Vélez-Málaga. Cables have been laid in Vélez, Torre del Mar and Caleta de Vélez, with work underway in Benajarafe, Chilches and Mezquitilla. Work is expected to start on bringing the facility to users in Almayate in the coming days.
