The Ferris wheel in Málaga’s port area ground to a halt on Tuesday as its operating licence expired. Discussions continue between its owners and the city’s authorities, as well as local residents who want to see it removed. The wheel began turning a year ago and plans were announced recently for a replacement wheel on a nearby site, but nothing has been confirmed.
