The Supreme Court prosecutor has asked for the custodial sentence handed to Iñaki Urdangarin by a Balearic Islands’ court in February to be increased from six years and three months to ten years. King Felipe’s brother-in-law was convicted of political corruption and embezzling €6 million of public funds. Urdangarin and his wife Princess Cristina lost their titles as Duke and Duchess of Palma in 2015.
