An elderly Madrid couple face eviction from their home of 50 years after signing as guarantors on their son’s mortgage application without understanding what they were doing. Both are illiterate, deaf and dumb, and have a registered disability of 70%. The bank debt began growing when the son lost his job and now stands at over €100,000.
