A 87-year-old German woman had to be rescued from her home by local police in Marbella, and taken to hospital, earlier this month. A neighbour raised the alarm after not hearing from the woman, who lives alone, for several days. Officers managed to raise a blind and see into her bedroom, where she was lying in bed. They entered the property for her safety, and she was tranferred to the Hospital Costa del Sol. Her family in Germany were informed.
