Teachers, students and parents across the country are today expected to join protests against the government’s education policy. The third one-day strike in recent weeks has been called by trade unions and students’ associations who claim the education pact presently being negotiated is “only political and not social” in nature. They also warn that negotiations with Brussels could wipe millions from the education budget.
