Almuñécar Town Hall has warned that some country areas have only “15 days water” and are on “the brink of disaster.” Mayor Trinidad Herrera told the regional government representative for Granada that the Rio Verde will “die of thirst, along with the local economy.” She called for immediate help to avoid a drought having to be declared.
