Taxis in the city of Málaga will be obliged to accept payment by credit cards from July 1. The move follows a two-year moratorium conceded by the town hall to allow the owners of the 1,432 vehicles in the fleet to acquire the dataphone machine needed to accept plastic. The estimated 350 who have not yet acquired the device could be fined up to €1,380.
