A British woman who in 2003 deposited €238,000 with a developer for a flat in Marbella that turned out to be built with an illegal licence has won a court order for the bank to refund her money. She had previously won an order for the developer to refund, but the company had gone bankrupt. The provincial court has now ordered the bank where the money was deposited to refund it. However, the bank can appeal.
