The EU flag was replaced by the Commonwealth flag at various locations in Gibraltar to mark Commonwealth Day on Monday. This has traditionally been done at the government office at No 6 Convent Place, but this year was extended in what officials said was a reflection of the Rock and the UK’s departure from the EU in 2019 and Gibraltar’s aim of “expanding our links with the Commonwealth”.
