Ecologists have called for the closure of the recently-opened beach for dogs in Torre del Mar. The group GENA says that regional legislation prohibits domestic pets accessing bathing areas during the summer months, making the park “manifestly illegal.” They also claim that dog owners are allowing their pets to foul areas outside those provided expressly for the purpose.
