The Málaga prosecutor has called for a custodial punishment to be handed to a man and woman, due to be sentenced today, who have been charged with causing the deaths of five cats. They were detained in 2011 after the animals, which belonged to a neighbour, ate poisoned meat left within their reach. Three others survived thanks to their owner’s quick intervention.
