The Junta de Andalucía announced last week that work to complete the Arriate bypass road is now expected to begin in June. Regional development head Felipe López explained that construction will begin once a modification to the project is processed. Work, currently at 40% completion, has been paralysed since 2010 and the road is now expected to be open by mid-2018, connecting the MA-7403 (Arriate-Setenil de las Bodegas) to the A-367 (Ardales-Ronda).
