Online retail giant Amazon announced last week that it is hiring 2,700 staff to strengthen its logistics centres in Madrid and Barcelona ahead of the busy Christmas campaign. The workers will pick up, pack and ship deliveries from the San Fernando de Henares, El Prat and Martorelles centres. The number of temporary employees is much higher than the 1,000 taken on for the festive season last year.
