A 36-year-old Spanish bullfighter died during an event in south-west France on Saturday. Iván Fandiño from the Basque Country became entangled on his cloak and fell to the ground whereupon the bull he was fighting gored him, causing irreversible damage to the liver, kidneys and lungs. He suffered a heart attack in an ambulance taking him to hospital in Mont-de-Marsan and was dead on arrival.
