A 24-year-old British woman was rescued on Christmas Eve after getting lost on the lower reaches of the Sierra Nevada near Capileira. She alerted the emergency services at 4.00pm, saying she was at a stream, was soaked with snow and water, and was without food. She was found and airlifted to a Granada hospital where she was later reported to be fine.
