A 31-year-old Spanish man has been arrested by the National Police, for allegedly stealing almost ten and a half tones of avocados from farms in Almayate and Algarrobo and selling them to wholesalers. According to a police statement the man had been selling types not grown on the farm he worked on, and had had cut fences, forced padlocks and targeted unsecured areas to steal the goods.
