The owner of failed development company Aifos, Jesús Ruiz Casado, was scheduled to go on trial yesterday facing up to four years in prison for allegedly transferring 138 properties valued at €17.2 million from Aifos to another company he ran, in order to prevent them being embargoed. The criminal suit was brought by a couple who paid Aifos €70,000 toward a Fuengirola home that was never delivered.
