Marbella has become increasingly popular as a shooting location for the film and TV industry in recent years, and the Marbella Film Office announced last week that since its inception in 2009 it has dealt with more than 500 productions in the town.
Miguel Luna, the Marbella Film Office’s head, said that the filming had bought with it an economic impact of 3.5 million euros in the past four years, both directly through accommodation, catering and other services, and indirectly through advertising.
