THE UK-based Zagaleta Limited, a subsidy of Grupo la Zagaleta Holding and owner of the luxury La Zagaleta resort in Benahavís, has purchased the Valderrama Group, owner of the world-famous Valderrama golf course in Sotogrande.

The transaction, valued at 40 million euros, includes the golf course and a number of development plots around it, as well as the Valderrama 2 project for the development of a new championship golf course and residential resort in nearby Castellar.

The new resort will represent an investment of 200 million euros into the area over the next 10 years, according to the company.
