TALKS have been continuing in Brussels between Cataluña’s former leader Carles Puigdemont and his supporters following the failed investiture debate in the Catalan parliament (CDSN last week) while after 100 days of direct rule from Madrid, the political situation in Cataluña remains unstable.
Contributing to the precariousness of that situation last week was a private mobile phone message in which Catalan separatist leader Carles Puigdemont admitted the independency process ‘is over’.
