THE long-planned hospital in Estepona has taken a step toward becoming a reality after the council last week approved a multi-year €17.7 million funding plan to build the facility.
Local officials say the town hall has been working with the Junta de Andalucía since April on an agreement under which the town hall will pay for the construction of the hospital and the Junta will then equip and open it.
