A CAMPAIGN presented in Mijas this week is urging people to not flush wet wipes down the toilet, due to the damage they cause to the sewage system and the environment.
The western Costa del Sol’s public water company, Acosol, has teamed up with the town hall for the campaign, which will see some 100 signs posted around the town to raise awareness, under the tag line ‘A simple gesture makes the difference. Use the waste bin!’
