The project to replace sections of the coastal promenade in La Mata is not due to be finished before September – although the town hall has stated that some parts could be opened before the deadline is reached.
Visitors to the area are currently able to see what exactly lies under the boardwalk – before the footings are covered over and the walkway is installed.
