The acute shortage of local police officers in Orihuela Costa has been highlighted by sources close to the force.
A maximum of two patrols are on the streets during the day in the busy summer period, although most of the time only one patrol is available – and a maximum of two officers are manning the office at the Playa Flamenca town hall building, they noted.
