Record heat over the summer may not have been enjoyed by the general population – but it was appreciated by the owners of the company which harvests salt at Torrevieja lake.
The evaporation process at the lagoon was intensified which means that a whopping 550,000 tonnes of salt is due to be collected in 2022.
