A composting centre is now up and running in Benijófar for residents to dispose of their organic waste so it can be turned into organic fertiliser, announced the town hall.
According to the municipal environment department, about 40% of household waste is made up of organic matter that can be recycled and returned to the soil in the form of humus for plants and crops’.
