A woman has been arrested in Alicante for pickpocketing and mugging mostly elderly or even disabled people.
According to police, she used the method of being ‘overly and physically affectionate to them in the street as a distraction to steal jewellery and watches’.
So-called ‘hugger muggers’ have become increasingly common in recent years.
