Residents of the Valencia region will not be surprised to learn that this past winter was characterised as ‘extremely hot’ and ‘very dry’ by state weather agency Aemet.
Its summary of the meteorological winter, comprising the months of December, January and February, revealed that it was the hottest and seventh driest in the region since 1950.
