The environmentalist associations ANSE and WWF España have bought 270 hectares of land at Cabo Cope in Murcia region to protect this coastal jewel from the voracious construction industry.
They noted that the area – which lies on currently unspoiled coastline between Mazarrón and Águilas – is still threatened by the proposed Marina de Cope resort scheme.
