Two accidents on breakwaters in ports at different ends of the Costa Blanca occurred on Christmas Eve – and saw the fire brigade called upon to carry out rescues.
A spokesman for the provincial service reported that a 16-year-old boy had suffered a fall on the large concrete blocks in Calpe harbour.
Emergency services were told that he was unable to move.
