A YOUNG man was detained for psychiatric tests after he attacked a doctor at the medical centre in Calpe last Tuesday, breaking his elbow.
The frightening assault occurred at around 03.30, when the 26-year-old assailant, who is known to be violent, fought with another man outside a nightclub near La Fossa beach and badly bit his ear. He then convinced his victim to accompany him to Calpe medical centre for treatment.
When they arrived at the health centre, witnesses said they did not ring the bell for assistance, and the assailant immediately tried to force the door, shouting for help for his victim.
