Archaeological excavation work in the area around the Roman villa of Plans de la Villlajoyosa has brought to light an industrial area and an aqueduct dating from the 5th-6th century AD.
The work undertaken so far has revealed several landfills and pits containing high concentrations of archaeological remains, mainly ceramics, which date back to the very late Roman period.
