Dear Sir
Anyone who has recently tried to book seats at the Torrevieja Auditorium for the coming concerts in the New Year has our sympathy.
My wife and I decided this year that we would solve our Christmas present problem for each other by booking two seats for the coming Nutcracker ballet at the auditorium.
Searching the local papers, we finally found an advert for the performance together with a telephone number. On phoning the number we explained what we wanted and got the reply: “Oh no, not another one. There has been a mistake in the advert, and no, we cannot help you or give you another telephone number to call.”
Further searching through the other local papers finally produced another number and we duly rang that one. “Yes we can take bookings for the Nutcracker ballet, and where do you wish to see it, Madrid or Pamplona?” followed by “Er no, we do not take bookings for Torrevieja, and no, we are not able to help you or suggest another number to ring”.
Further enquiries proved fruitless, and in desperation, we phoned the Benijófar office of CBNews to see if they could help.
Step forward Barry Wright (news reporter), who after listening to our tale of woe suggested we visit the office to see if he could help us, which he thankfully did. Barry spent 45 minutes of his valuable time sorting us out and finally managed to book two seats for the ballet.
We would therefore like to publically thank Barry for going the extra mile, and for taking both time and trouble to help a couple of old age pensioners.
The Christmas spirit is still alive and well.
