Once again, the subject of rubbish collecting and dumping has raised its ugly head. I wrote to you some weeks ago and mentioned the state of Calle Iguazu and Calle Niagara in Playa Flamenca.
I am pleased to report that Calle Iguazu has been completely cleared of unsightly rubbish, but the problem has only moved to Calle Niagara, where garden waste and other items are dumped and left for days before collection.
The garden waste seems to be brought in from outside the area and dropped in the darker hours, much to the disgust of residents and it is not being collected for days. This is near the CDM sports complex and nursery school, which may be a health hazard as well as an eyesore.
