So angry today, 22nd March, as we have received a letter from our past borough council dated 15th March (envelope posted 16th March) stating that unless we reply with the enclosed form by 17th March ???? we shall be taken off the electoral register and cannot vote by our usual proxy vote via our relative back in the UK. The letter is signed by a Farooq Mirza and the English grammar leaves much to be desired.
We are so upset. I rang the number given and they have said they will ring me back, but we have not heard anything as yet. Don’t think the British government want anything to do with us now we live in Spain.
