With reference to the article above, I have always said that this was double taxation ever since we were notified that we had to include our income from Armed Forces and Civil Service pensions already taxed in UK.
However, if you read through the dual tax agreement (2014) available on line, hidden away in the small paragraph covering Government pensions you will see that this was in fact agreed by both governments.
So, double taxation it is. But who is to blame?
