We applaud the referendum called in Pedreguer regarding the proposed banning of bull tormenting. It is a great pity that bull running was not included.
Spain is slowly coming out of the dark ages with regard to the abuse of non-domestic animals. This referendum may be another small step into the 21st century.
Pets have some level of protection, but farm animals, and dogs used for hunting, have effectively none. To us it appears to be the action of a 3rd world country, not a 1st.
