Call for action against illegal parking in disabled places

When will action be taken against able-bodied drivers who park illegally in disabled parking places?
This thoughtless, lazy and despicable act causes untold inconvenience and stress to those needing to park close to their homes and shops.
Is it not time for the police to fine and remove these illegally parked vehicles? Much needed money could be raised in our town by implementing the law.
Maybe the newspapers could have a “column of shame” listing the registration numbers of cars illegally parked in the parking bays. I am sure the people who need to use these places would happily report the registration numbers to the newspapers and police etc.
