The unseasonal heat which has been affecting the south and east of Spain since the middle of May is due to get worse next week.
The forecast from state weather agency AEMET shows that they are expecting a temperature of 44°C to be recorded in Orihuela city on Tuesday (June 14) and 40°C the following day.
