Regional environmental authorities have warned Jávea town hall could face hefty fines over the Ramblars garden waste plant fire, which forced residents some distance away to stay indoors with the windows shut for an extended period.
A disciplinary inquiry has been launched in Valencia over an alleged serious breach of laws covering waste disposal and soil contamination.
