As the climate of Alicante province is ideal for growing cannabis, numerous industrial hemp businesses have set up in the area but some have used this as a front for drug dealing, reported the Guardia Civil.
So far they have found irregularities at eight greenhouses and seized 34,000 marijuana plants.
